The Right to Education Act debate has gained a great deal of currency, thanks to contributions from various quarters. The neighbourhood school concept needs a review and the Government should clearly state whether the Act ensures Parity of Quality Education. Just shedding out capitation and screening of admissions wont help in providing quality based education. NREG Act is a quantity based one and Education is not to be weighed in that proportion.
